Step Up for Good: How Our Team Walked 1.5 Million Steps in Just 1 week for Charity

Together we walked over 1.5 million steps in just 1 week, to support the Children’s Ward at Leighton Hospital!

This month our team took part in our challenge ‘Step Up for Good’. Our aim was ambitious – each of us involved set out to walk 100,000 steps each in just 7 days – all whilst raising funds to support our ongoing goal of £10,000 for the Children’s Ward at Leighton Hospital.

We are continuing our fundraising efforts with the aim of purchasing a medical-grade VR headset and supporting equipment for the ward. This incredible technology will allow patients to virtually experience the procedures they’ll be undergoing, helping to ease fears and anxieties. By reducing stress, it will help improve treatment outcomes and increase the success rate of procedures – a small investment with a huge impact for children and families.

From early morning walks to lunchtime miles, our team embraced the challenge with energy and determination, hitting an average of 15,000 steps a day. It was inspiring to see everyone motivating each other, sharing progress updates, and celebrating every milestone along the way.
