The Crown Group Steps Up to Raise Funds for the Local Children’s Ward.

Our team at The Crown Group has taken another big step toward our £10,000 fundraising goal to buy a medical VR headset for the Children’s Ward at Leighton Hospital.

On Friday 17th October, 15 members of our team walked 37 miles from Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool to Leighton Hospital in Crewe, raising an incredible £3,201 toward our goal.

Supporting the local Children’s Ward means a lot to us. After our Managing Director’s daughter received excellent care and support from the staff at Leighton, we wanted to find a way to give back, that would directly benefit the children being cared for there.

We’ve committed to raising £10,000 to purchase the VR headset and supporting equipment to gift to the Children’s Ward. This amazing piece of equipment will help children better understand the procedures they’ll be undergoing, reducing anxiety and offering comfort to assist with pain management. The walk is just one of several charity events our team will be organising to reach this goal, including our recent Charity Golf Day.

Setting off from Alder Hey Hospital at around 6am, our team faced 37 miles filled with determination, laughter and a few tired legs along the way. After 14 hours of walking, we arrived at Leighton Hospital, where staff from the Children’s ward were waiting to give us a warm welcome.
