We are looking for a Part-Time Accounts Assistant to join our team on a maternity cover basis, with the possibility of a permanent position. This is an office-based role in Crewe
The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Accounts Assistant with essential experience in Sage 50 accounts and administration. You will support the Accounts Manager with a variety of duties to ensure the smooth running of our finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Accounts Manager with day-to-day administration and finance tasks.
- Process invoices and credits (supplier and customer).
- Data entry and accurate record keeping.
- Credit control duties.
- Use of Sage 50 Accounts.
- General accounting and administrative support as required.
- Supporting with hours on timesheets for payroll.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and clients in the rail industry.
- Provide proactive communication and support to the wider team.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in a similar accounts/finance role.
- Competent and confident in using Sage 50 Accounts.
- Highly organised with a strong attention to detail.
- Able to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Confident with communication and problem-solving.
- Professional, approachable, and a strong team player.
