Job Title: Skilled Fencer – The Crown Group
Location: UK-wide (based from Crewe)

Would you like an exciting opportunity to join a growing business? Due to growth, we are looking for a Skilled Fencer to join our experienced team as a subcontractor.

As a Skilled Fencer, you will work on projects across the UK, delivering high-quality fencing solutions for our clients. You’ll be responsible for installing and maintaining a variety of fencing systems to ensure safety, security, and compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Installing a range of fencing types (timber, V-mesh, palisade, etc.)
  • Digging holes and setting posts securely in concrete or other fixings
  • Installing gates, barriers, and security fencing where required
  • Using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Inspecting fences for damage or wear
  • Carrying out repairs or replacements to maintain safety and appearance
  • Ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard
  • Coordinating with clients, site managers, and other contractors
  • Ensuring work is completed on time and within budget
  • Following company and industry safety standards at all times
  • Using PPE correctly and promoting safe working practices
  • Keeping the worksite clean, organised, and hazard-free
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting materials
  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and vehicles in good condition
  • Working flexibly across different project sites, we are based in Crewe and predominantly pick up work in the North West and Midlands; however, a degree of flexibility is required.
