Lending a Paw for National Volunteers Week at Local Dog Shelter

To mark National Volunteers Week (2nd–8th June), some of our team spent an afternoon volunteering with Pawprints to Freedom, a UK-based dog rescue charity doing incredible work to help dogs in need.

We visited the charity’s Safe Haven Kennels in Nantwich, where we spent time walking and socialising the rescue dogs — many of whom are still learning to trust and find their confidence again. We also helped out with a few everyday tasks around the kennels. It was a rewarding afternoon that gave us a real insight into the difference Pawprints to Freedom makes for these dogs.

Pawprints to Freedom is a volunteer-run charity focused on rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs from Romania. Their mission is to give every dog the chance of a safe, loving home no matter their background. It was a privilege to witness the passion and commitment of the team who care for these dogs every single day.

National Volunteers Week, held each year in early June, celebrates the valuable contributions made by volunteers across the UK. By taking part, we wanted to show our support for community-led efforts and highlight the importance of giving back.

We’re grateful to Pawprints to Freedom for welcoming us and for the vital work they do. If you’d like to find out more or get involved, visit: www.pawprintstofreedom.co.uk.
