Giving Back: How The Crown Group Supports Local Charities and Builds Stronger Communities

Giving back to our community is a big part of who we are at The Crown Group. To support the local community, we are actively involved with several charities, such as: Save the Children, Cheshire Without Abuse, the Children’s Ward at Leighton Hospital and The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity.

Save the Children

To raise money for Save the Children, in December 2024, we participated in Christmas Jumper Day, enjoying a day filled with fun, treats, and most importantly, giving back!

Cheshire Without Abuse

In addition to raising funds for Save the Children, we have also raised a substantial amount of money for Cheshire Without Abuse throughout the year by:

• Collecting 21 Christmas trees across local towns, with all proceeds donated.
• Organising a Sponsored cycle (200 miles on Peloton bikes in our office) – raising £3,700.
• Hosting a Charity Ball in partnership with Mercury Lifts – raising £8,024.78.

Leighton Hospital’s Children’s Ward

Most recently, we’ve partnered with Leighton Hospital’s children’s ward, to raise funds for VR equipment that improves staff and patient experience by reducing stress and boosts patient comfort through better pain management. To raise funds for this equipment, we have organised events including:

• Hosting a Crown Annual Open Golf Day – raising £2,381
• Organising a Charity Walk (walking 37 miles from Alder Hey Hospital to Leighton Hospital in 14 hours) – raising £2,776

Lighthouse Charity Professional Support

We are proud to support The Lighthouse Charity, which offers 24/7 free and confidential support to our employees and their families. This vital service provides guidance on a wide range of wellbeing issues, including mental health, specifically tailored for construction workers.
